“Future Homes” Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) & ICA Partnership

image

The ICA has partnered with The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) on the Future Homes Initiative. A key part of this is The Green Star Homes Standard, an opportunity to ensure Australian homes are built for the future, ready to adapt to extreme weather challenges while being part of the global response to the threat of climate change.

The ICA recognises that the GBCA has achieved significant transformation in the built environment since its inception in 2003. We hope that our partnership will contribute to achieving our shared vision; the transformation of the residential market, to become healthy, resilient and net zero energy.

Objective

Work with GBCA to integrate a robust measurement of resilience into Green Star for Homes

Relationship/Partnership

The Green Building Council of Australia, their partners and members.

Measures of Success

The successful launch of Green Star for homes with a robust resilience measure.
