On 1 November 2020, the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has declared a Catastrophe for damage caused by hailstorms that struck south-east Queensland on 31 October 2020.
In early March 2021, the ICA hosted a community forum and two days of one-on-one consultations in Springfield Lakes for local policyholders affected by the Halloween hailstorm.
Insurers and the Insurance Council of Australia returned to the Springlake Hotel on Thursday 17 June for additional one-on-one consultations with customers, providing continued help with their insurance claims.
One-on-one consultations for policyholders impacted by the Halloween hailstorm were available on Wednesday 6 October 2021, at the Springlake Hotel, in Springfield Lakes.
